Raleigh Breach of Contract Civil Litigation Attorney

Oral Contracts

Many people erroneously believe they cannot enforce their rights under an oral contract in a North Carolina Court but this is incorrect.  Except for certain types of agreements, an oral contract is fully enforceable. You will be entitled to testify as to the substance of your agreement and may recover breach of contract damages if it is proven the defendant failed to abide by the contract.

Attorneys’ Fees

Attorneys’ fees are generally not recoverable in a breach of contract case unless they are provided for in the contract itself.  In many cases, even if attorneys’ fees are provided for the contract, they will be limited to 15% of the amount recovered.
